useful softwares
I used to always use MatLab software to simulate signal processing system. But sometimes I found there is some disadvantage of using it especially when drawing a 3D picture. The input mehod does not confirm to our daily math habit. For example, we can not simply input the function of equation to display it. I was got confused several times. From this one, I guess Mathcad makes it a lot esier. In fact, software should help us solve our problem quickly. Easy to use, therefore, is very important.

Re: Free Remote Access Software
BTW, i had an opportunity to use "Teamviewer" which is very nice user friendly remote accessing software. We can download it for free (Having said that, it has its own trail period validity).

Re: Free Remote Access Software
I would say one should wisely use this deadline to migrate to Win7 asap also its an indication for stoping any new development keeping WinXp in mind.

Re: Free Remote Access Software
We may still have some time to go with Windows XP - I hope.
I googled ->  xp support deadline <-

At  -> http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/352399/XP_Deadline_Haunts_IT

I found

"Microsoft has said it will stop supporting Window XP and Office 2003 in April 2014."

I assume you are talking about the desktop/pc users. But when you consider commercial usage you cannot live with an OS which doesn't have support, so you obviously have to move to Win7. I would say the migration is done already.

Re: Free Remote Access Software
I have yet to run into any program that won't run on XP, and I see no reason whatsoever to pay for the so much more powerful machine that would be necessary to support Windows 7's system overhead.

@Gary, I totally agree with your observation, but unfortunately windows is removing the support for its WinXP by 2013. I am sure many people will still prefer WinXP inspite of no support from Windows.

Re: Free Remote Access Software
When my old PC died a few months ago, I could not find a new machine that came with XP - so I bougt a recondiyioned one that would.  I have yet to run into any program that won't run on XP, and I see no reason whatsoever to pay for the so much more powerful machine that would be necessary to support Windows 7's system overhead.

BTW, yEditor is just yEd:

Very nice, though it doesn't seem able to lower itself to do a simple manual block diagram! :-)  But Open/NeoOffice can.

Re: Free Remote Access Software
WinXP still holds more usage than Vista and Win7 combined,

@nsuresheee,very true. Infact I still use winXP because the system requirements for winXP is not much and it run smoothly on low-configured machines.
